Here's what you need to do to make that happen: 1. First thing to do is to choose the best subjects to explore. To get the kind of attention you need, stick with topics that are aligned to the products that you sell and those that are extremely interesting to your target audience. I suggest that you perform a keyword research to easily get a list of the most searched terms in your chosen niche. Pick the most popular and those that are closely relevant to the theme of your website. 2. Know what your target readers are looking for. Next step is to identify the specific information that your target audience are looking for. For example, if you're about to write articles on article marketing, you need to know if your target audience are looking for information on how to write their articles, on how to easily get their articles published, on how to create effective resource box, etc. Doing this will help you make your articles more focused and more targeted. 3. Do your research. Now that you know the specific topics and angles to explore, the next thing to do is to conduct extensive research. Your goal here is to obtain as much up-to-date information as possible. Check out relevant blogs and websites that are being run by webmasters who are considered authorities in your chosen niche. You can also interview these people. List down the best questions to ask that will help you squeeze out the kind of information needed by your audience. 4. Develop an outline. List down the information that you obtain while doing your research. Ensure that they're really interesting and useful to your target audience. Then, list them down in a logical manner to easily create a roadmap that will serve as your guide when writing your articles. 5. Use extremely effective titles. Always put your best foot forward when writing your titles. Remember, your goal here is to grab the attention of your readers and get them to open your articles. For best results, I suggest that you make your titles benefit-driven and/or thought-provoking. This is a surefire way to boost your open rate in no time. 6. Start strong. Get your audience at the edge of their seats by giving them explosive information at the beginning or by asking them mind-boggling questions. It's important that you're able to hook them right away to increase your chances of getting them to read your articles until the end. 7. Explain your ideas using bullet lists or short paragraphs. This is to help your readers easily digest each information that you're giving out and to make your content easy on the eyes and readable. Remember, each bullet list or paragraph must not contain more than 5 short sentences. 8. Share your expertise. Make your articles worth remembering by simply loading them with a slice of your in-depth knowledge. Be willing to share your secrets in solving particular problem or in reaching specific goal. Doing this will help you impress your readers and will help you convince them that you're indeed an authority in your chosen niche. 9. Be creative. Find creative ways on how you can make your articles stand out from the crowd. Read similar articles online and strive to offer something different to your readers. Don't be afraid to experiment using different writing style and tone until you figure out which ones work best for your target audience. 10. Keep it simple. You just got to believe me that using complicated words and complicated paragraphs will not help you impress your readers. Make reading fun for them by making your content easy to understand. Communicate your ideas using lay man's terms. If needed, offer examples and relevant stories. Its important for you to make sure that these people will walk away feeling well-informed. 11. Provide useful links. This is applicable if you're posting your articles on your own sites. You can make them sound more credible and more valuable by inserting links where your readers can find information that can back up your claims. 12. Use conversational tone. One of the best ways to give your audience great reading experience is by writing your articles as if you're directly talking to them. Use only first person pronouns when addressing them. Empathize when needed. Make them laugh by injecting humor. Also, write your articles using writing style that will showcase your own personality. 13. Proofread. Last but definitely not the least important step is to proofread your articles before you publish them online. Ensure that they're free from any writing errors and that your content flow smoothly. Also, make sure that they contain complete information.
