Regulate, regulate, and more regulate. Stifling American businesses, and hand holding American citizens. Is this really where we want to go? The fight continues on at the local and federal level. The consumer activists scream for more consumer laws to insure that consumers are not able to decide for themselves what is good, and what is bad, and these folks are instinctively back with full force by the extreme far left liberal bunch. Think about this. You now have local and federal governments placing regulation and limitations on the ability to offer even a simple pawnshop style transaction. These regulations and limitations are making even something as simple as a title loan or also known as a title pawn transaction so difficult that title loan lenders are not even capable of offering the service at a profitable level. This interference into the free market hurts both the consumer and the supplier. No one wins... As title loan organizations are forced to shut down in many states, jobs are lost, professions are lost, and ultimately the consumers that the activists and the legislators were trying to protect no longer have access to a much-needed service. When are politicians, legislators, and activists going to get it? Americans are not stupid; I do not need my hand held to stay out of trouble. I can read paper work, I can ask questions about a simple title loan transaction, I know what I'm getting into, I know how much I am borrowing, how much the payments are, and I am smart enough to figure out how to make it work. Americans do not need their hand held on everything they do. Before you know it, I won't even be able to go buy groceries without a government representative tagging along to insure I buy the right foods, and get the best price possible. I so many fashions, we are becoming nanny states. We the people have created a monster called federal, state, and local government. Current regulations and guideline changes constantly hovering over the title loans industry is a prime example of this political machine gone wild. The government on so many levels have managed to continually make power grabs, and encroach on American citizens personal lives, and place a throat hold on varying industries such as the title loans industry that it's beginning to feel more like a police state, and leaning almost towards a dictatorship. I keep wondering how long it will be before I'm not allowed to leave my home at night because some pin headed politician has decided that it's not safe, and that it is their job to protect me. It's high time Americans woke up, and start beating back the growing machine. The message is real simple to all politicians "BACK OFF" Americas absolutely must get hard and heavy on a fight back campaign to start removing large chunks of power from the higher ups, and drawing an big bold line in the sand. If we don't start really paying attention, you will not even be able to pawn off a unused household item because the government has destroyed pawn shops all together.
