Born Keith Lionel Urban on October 26, 1967 in New Zealand, Australia, he's a country music singer, guitarist and songwriter that has risen to the top of the charts over the years with many hits such as You'll Think of Me, Making Memories of Us, Tonight I Wanna Cry, Days Go By and many others. In his videos he's been seen playing instruments such as the electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, mandolin, Ebow, bouzouki and piano and has an amazing voice that makes you come to quick terms with his lyrics and sound.

Urban got his start in Brisbane at an early age and in 1991, released a self-titled album in Australia. Four singles from the album reached the charts and while Urban enjoyed this success, he subsequently set his sights on America and moved to the United States in 1992. In the U.S., after working awhile as a session guitarist, Urban started his own band called The Ranch. The band had two singles that made it to the Billboard charts in country music. In 1999, Urban released another self-titled album in the U.S., Keith Urban.

Urban was widely received in the U.S. and soared to the top of the charts with his first #1 hit But for the Grace of God. Hitting the studio right on the heels of the certified platinum success of the first album, Urban released Golden Road in 2002 and produced another #1 hit Somebody Like You. From this same album, Urban earned a Grammy for the hit You'll Think of Me. There really has been no stopping Keith Urban since. In 2004, his third U.S. album Be Here was released and proved to be his highest selling album with three #1 hits and going multi-platinum four times.

In 2006, his fourth album Love Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing produced the country chart topper Once in a Lifetime. Urban also won his second Grammy for Stupid Boy. Less than a year later in 2007, Urban released Greatest Hits: 18 Kids which included the #1 hit You Look Good in My Shirt. Defying Gravity is Keith Urban's latest release, which hit the stores in March 2009. If the track record says anything about the success of Urban's determination to make it in the U.S., then Keith Urban is certainly living the American dream.

Not without some challenges to face and overcome. Urban dated and married actress Nicole Kidman in 2006 and to their union a daughter was born on July 7, 2008. Daughter Sunday Rose Kidman Urban was a happy celebration after Urban's completion of rehab at the Betty Ford Center in 2006. A stronger Urban has been seen on the road and in performances around the country since those times, attested by the fantastic tours that Urban has gone on. Fans from around the world have witnessed Urban and his band brings their favorite songs alive on stage. In 2010, concerts are scheduled through September, creating many opportunities to witness this Grammy award-winning performer in person.

When you want strong lyrics and awesome music, get your Keith Urban tickets and experience the country music difference in his sound! With his latest tour running through September, 2010, there are still plenty of great concert tickets available through Ticket America.
