Can you imagine life without the prom? What else would young girls look forward to without prom night? Many people may not totally understand how the prom night is very important in a girl's life. According to some sociologists, the prom night is basically the time when a girl is made aware of her womanhood. It is the time when she is given the chance to formally present herself in public as a grown up girl. In fact, it is the culmination of her social responsibilities in the community. In a lighter note, the prom night is practically the time when a girl can be all made up, look really beautiful, and have fun. So, how could anyone ever think of life without the prom? The prom is one of the important highlights in a young person's life. Everybody always look forward to the prom regardless of gender and race. Certainly there are a thousand and one reasons why everyone feels excited the prom. However, here are some important reasons why prom nights are one of the most highly anticipated events in a teenager's life. First and foremost, proms are fun. After all, it takes a lot of time just to prepare for this occasion. For some young girls, it took most of their adolescence, since they have been dreaming of the prom night ever since they learned about it. In fact, most young girls associate prom night with first dance, first kiss, and even first love. Now, what could be more fun than this? Certainly everyone is excited about falling in love for the first time.
Moreover, proms are exciting. A lot of different things happen at the same time- great food, great music, and beautiful dresses. These things definitely make the heart beat faster and quicken the pulse rate. Young people do not only spend time in preparing for this important event, but money as well. Yes, a prom dress may cost pretty much, but ii is definitely worth it. After all, how many times in your lifetime will you experience the prom? Just once; thus you should make it last a lifetime. Indeed, more than anything else, proms mean a lot of different things to different people. For some, the prom is everything; a conclusion of their adolescence. This is probably the reason why some young girls do everything that they can to look beautiful on this special day. On the other hand, to some people, the prom is the last chance to have fun with friends before they separate ways. Thus, the prom night must be special and memorable. Whatever the reasons are though, one thing is for certain- everyone should have fun on their prom night. Regardless of how they look, or who they are with, they should enjoy the night and make every moment last-enough to last them a lifetime.
