What does it take to become positioned as a guru? In this article I will share with you my guru blueprint which will enable you to quickly position yourself as a guru in your niche market online. Some background information first: What does it take to generate real revenue online, and not just compete on the bottom rungs of the online markets? You see, what I see is that most people in most niches have low cost products for sale in their niche, and they are basically competing with a large number of others in the same niche, selling similar low cost items, and competing strictly on price. And then there are usually a few people positioned as experts or gurus in the same niche - and the handful of niche gurus are making almost all of the revenue in the niche. You see, I believe people look to experts and gurus when they are really serious about taking action in your niche. And when they are buying low cost items, they simply aren't as serious. So when they are just fishing around, looking for a little information, they look to you for a low cost solution. But when they get serious about taking action, then they go hunting for the expert who can take them to the next level. Think about you. You have bought many low cost items. But when you really really need help - you don't just find the cheapest person around to learn from, you want the best - and you are willing to pay for the best. And that's what happens with your subscribers and visitors in your niche. If you are purveying low cost items, they do not perceive you as the expert, they instead see you as an information merchant. Then, when they are ready for coaching or really ready to take action and invest thousands to learn advanced techniques - they find the expert in your niche, instead of you. But the real question is - are they really finding someone with more experience than you - or are they finding someone with similar experience to you, but the "expert" has simply positioned themself in the marketplace as an expert, and they are easy to find online as an expert? I submit to you that the latter is the case - that they are simply positioning themselves as experts in their niche. And that means that you can too. You see, there are specific things that make people "look" like they are an expert. And if you simply do those things - you can "look" like an expert as well. Here are some things "experts" have in common online: 1) They rarely peddle cheap ebooks and cheap products. 2) They position themselves on their website as being the best, charging the most, and they literally tell you they are the expert - and they back it up with psychological proof. You see, if someone tells you they are an expert, but they are giving their services away like a beginner, it is obvious they are not really an expert. So you must increase your prices to the expert or guru level, tell people you are an "expert" (of course I am assuming that you are, if not, get some training) 3) When you look for them online - they "appear" to be an expert by their search rankings and the pages that come up under their name. What about you - go ahead, google your name online. What do you find? Do you "appear" to be an expert online? Not sure. Google my name, "Sean Mize" - what do you see? Do I "appear" to be the expert I am? Am I widely published online? Do I have several authority sites online? Your next step - Correct each of these things in your business, and align yourself with guru principles online, and you too can be seen as a guru!
