Great make up, excellent costumes, and many of the youngsters use the decorative spooky contacts in their eyes to give some really unique visual effects to the visitors. The experience is scary enough for adults to enjoy; yet mild enough to thrill and even humor the younger kids. The Helen Ga. Haunted House is set in a twenty one thousand square foot of anything from heads popping out of walls, to spinning theatrical lighting, to ghosts and goblins with enough realism to curve the psyche. Being that the haunted house sets just across the street from the Chattahoochee River that on a hot summer day is slap full of hundreds of tubers, the youngsters working there get all dressed up in their garb and costumes, and walk like dead people across the street to the river. Many of them will even get in the river, and this is always excited and humorous for all the Helen Ga. tubers lazily floating down the river. This also makes for some good advertising for the haunted house attraction itself. The Helen Ga. Haunted House is located on Escowee Rd., which is behind and across the bridge from the Helendorf River Front Hotel. The entry price at the time of this write up was around ten bucks per person, but the company that manages the haunted house attraction, also owns and manages several Helen Ga. attractions, and most of the time you can purchase a attraction package and save some big bucks on several attractions for the entire family. The company that manages the haunted house also owns the North Ga. BBQ. North Ga. BBQ is among some of the best BBQ available anywhere in the state of Ga. offering true smoked BBQ. Their BBQ is smoked for over twelve hours. Most of the time when you buy a Helen Ga. attractions package deal, the package includes a huge discount for some of the best BBQ you can get anywhere.
