Latest Breaking News - Health - Viewing: Eat Clean And Lose Weight Quicker

2010-08-22

The processed foods we eat every day in our modern 'easy and convenient' lifestyles does our waist line no favors. We avoid cooking from scratch as it is time consuming and we are too busy to bother. But what we are doing is trading our health for that convenience.

All manner of chemicals, preservatives, foods colorings, artificial sweeteners, refined sugars and man made unhealthy Trans fats and pesticide residues have been placed in our food chain by man. We are getting doses of these frightening toxic items every single day. The more processed the foods we consume the higher the levels of the toxic irritants we consume that have negative consequences to our health.

When our body becomes overloaded and the removal pathways for these substances become overwhelmed they start to build up. Our body tries to tuck them away in fat storage depots well away from major organs like the heart and brain so they remain safe.

This is why weight becomes difficult and even impossible to lose as the body cannot risk dumping these toxins back into the blood stream risking its health. The metabolism slows down as fat storage depots get larger and body functions become hindered.

So, what can you do? The easiest way is to adopt eating clean and lose weight.

Eating clean is a way of eating that does not involve processed foods. It means unprocessed foods that are still close to nature. Whole foods that have not been heated processed or mucked around with by man. Things like a tomato, a potato, a piece of quality steak or fish, fruit off the tree or vine and nuts and seeds still intact and raw.

White sugar, white flour or white rice has no place in this way of eating. Things in pretty boxes and packets or from the freezer section of the supermarket have no place either. These things have little or zero in the way of nutrition and instead are loaded with harmful chemicals, sugars and fats.

Try to focus on organic produce that is pesticide free. If possible use free range chicken and eggs and grass fed hormone free organic beef and diary products and try and cook from scratch so you know exactly what is in the food you eat.

The idea is to plan ahead and prepare your small meals in advance. You take them with you in a small cooler so no matter where you are you will always be eating the right stuff that will have you losing weight without any hunger whatsoever in no time.

Each of your meals should be centered on a protein source and the balance made up of raw and cooked vegetables and number 4-6 per day. So, every 2-3 hours you will be eating one of your small delicious 'clean' meals each around 300-400 calories.

Sure it is a little 'work' to prepare your meals but weigh it up. Would you rather spend this time and be slim and trim or would you rather eat whatever, whenever and become overweight? You will also have an unhealthy body and a slow metabolism that will bring you plenty more health problems in the future. You will have traded your svelte healthy body for the convenience of not having to prepare and cook. Don't think so.
