Weight loss diet plans, pills and supplements have been around for years. The people pushing them use terms like 'rapid' 'fast' and 'easy' and we prick up our ears right away.
We start taking and using these things, go on and off diets and start and stop exercise programs. We are like mice on a wheel going around but getting nowhere.

If any of these things work it is only for a short time then we find we are right back to where we started from or even worse. It we have assaulted our body with food restriction it is likely to get us back with a slowed metabolism (our bodies engine). This will cause a rebound with the weight quickly piling back on with some extra to boot.

Many diet pills and weight loss supplements work by suppressing your appetite. But this works against the body and can never give you a strong, lean healthy body. And this is really what you want isn't it? Suppressing your appetite is likely to send the body into 'survival mode' holding on to every scrap of fat and even becoming fatter. This ancient mechanism is hardwired into our genes so when food was scarce the human body was able to protect itself from starvation.

The World Heath Organization states that a diet consisting of anything below 1800 calories per day for women and 2400 for men is a starvation diet. Yet millions of people are right at this moment forcing their body to make do with even less than this meager amount of food in the hope they will lose body fat. But any diet below these calorie levels will trigger the slowdown of the metabolism and put the brakes on fat loss.

The even worse part of this situation is the fact that even if some weight is lost it will unfortunately be some of your precious fat burning machinery - your muscle tissue. This makes future fat loss almost impossible as damage has now been done to your metabolic engine causing it to burn less fuel (calories) permanently.

There is a far better way to lose excess body fat and it is the opposite of trying to force the body into something that works against the way we have been made and losing out every single time. It is called getting healthy and involves exercising your muscles with proper exercise and eating enough natural food to supply you with the energy to do justice to your exercise program.

This natural approach to weight loss works better because it makes your body work more efficiently. Your metabolism is boosted burning up more fuel along with the increased health of your muscles, bones, joints and your heart and lungs. It is the most successful method of long-term weight loss simply because you are using your body for what it was meant to be used for ( vigorous movement) and you are fuelling it with the best possible fuel (fresh natural foods).

To get your muscles working and toning them up requires strength training exercise. No amount of low intensity activity such as walking, jogging or cycling will give you the metabolism boosting benefits that strength training will give you.

You can control your weight with regular strength training, and, over time, bring your body fat percentage into a healthy range. And as a bonus with this special type of exercise remember that strong muscles will improve your looks as when muscles get stronger that give us a more pleasing body shape, tighter and firmer.

Natural works best and is the cheapest beauty and around. There is not a pill, injection, implant or surgeon in the world that can give us what we can give ourselves – a strong, lean, shapely, energetic, healthy body.
