Most people when asked how important their health is would say it is at the top of their priority list. And if most people were asked if they would rather have lots of money or their health they would choose health. Yet these same people are not doing the very thing that will keep them healthy and well. Around 7 out of 10 people do not get any regular meaningful exercise. If proper exercise is an essential component for good health how can so many people consider it such a low priority? Is it because they think that the "health" system – doctors, drugs, tests, specialists, hospitals, surgeons etc are there to save them should they get sick? But the "sickness treatment system" does absolutely nothing to keep people well. It only responds when a person shows signs and symptoms of illness but by then it may be too late. Every second person in our population has some chronic illness and many have multiple conditions. Is nobody putting two and two together here and linking this fact with the almost non existent natural activity in our lives? We may be super advanced with modern technology but at what price? One out of two peoples health and an early death? We now know that the human body cannot stay healthy without constant vigorous activity. That is how we have been made, it is in our genes. How on earth do we think we can simply ignore this fact and get away with it? You see this movement or "work" as it should really be known triggers chemical reactions that tell every single cell in every single tissue, organ and system in the human body to repair, rebuild and renew itself. Without this stimulus there cannot be this renewal that keeps us healthy and we become very exposed to the risk of disease that globally is shortening millions of lives. These facts are not widely talked about or promoted as the "sickness treatment system" is worth billions of dollars and lots of sick people are needed to continually to feed this "sick" system and keep the wheels turning. Each of us personally takes our health for granted until we get sick. People who claim they can't be bothered to partake in proper exercise and self-care find themselves hospitalized or sick and out of commission for weeks or month or even forever. How much more valuable does our health then become after we lose it? But why wait for this happen, you do not have to go down this path. Take a moment and think about your future and all that you would like to achieve in your life. Isn't your good health an important component for the achievement of your goals and dreams? Doesn't it make good sense that unless you take care of it you cannot take care of business, family and other interests? It is each of our responsibility to do what we have to do to ensure that we remain in good health. Do not wait and pass that responsibility to a system that may or may not be able to fix you once the wheels fall off. The most basic thing that everyone should be doing is to put back the "work" and the necessary strength retaining activity into our lives. Don't be misled into thinking that low intensity activities like walking or gardening will do the job as it won't. It has to be activity that stresses the muscles and bones such as strength training exercise. If you have not done this type of activity before make sure you get the necessary help and guidance from a fitness professional. This will ensure that you get results quickly and effectively. No one else can do this for you, no drugs; no surgical procedure can give you the same health benefits that your body would create on its own when you give it what it needs. So, get yourself going and experience the positive health results proper exercise offers.
