You can choose from amongst four different tours that will take you through the old city of Palma. It is a fantastic way to experience the cultural past of the city almost first hand. You will feel as if you have gone back in time – it is the most wonderful feeling. The city council also offers a tour of the Patios of the city. These patios belong to the grand buildings of the city and performed a central role in city life of the past. Every year car rental companies deal with huge demand for car hire in Majorca. It is one of the most popular spots in Spain when it comes to hiring a car. It is vital that you begin searching early for transport as it can run out fast during peak holiday periods. One thing for certain is the continuing popularity of Majorca as a holiday destination. If you are visiting Spain, it will be a shame if you cannot take part in true Spanish style celebrations. Majorca, like most other cities in Spain shares common festivals like the holy week and the Christmas festival. It also has festivals that are unique to Majorca. Every year on the 19th of January, Majorca celebrates Revetlla de Sant Sebastia – the patron saint of the city by lighting bonfires and roasting meat on an open fire. There is dancing and singing in the square with different bands playing throughout the night.
