The vacation season is upon you, and you're wanting something different for your holiday this year. Where to stay? You've probably heard about the beautiful region that is Bali, but this location has so many different regions within it, it can be difficult learning where to begin. While the list that follows is nowhere near exhaustive, it is a good start to finding the places that will bring out the best in your stay. Just first determine what it is you want more: a taste of the tourist lifestyle or something more quaint and serene. As you decide, compare what is offered with the rest of the tastes in your traveling party. Ubud of Central Bali This region of Central Bali is not quite as tourist centric as other regions in Bali, though some do venture in from time to time. Central Bali is a little more tucked away than its counterparts near the southern peninsula, but it is no less fascinating. A cultural center, so to speak, this is where you will want to come to experience local craftsmanship and entertainment that is unique to the region. If you are wanting more beaches and fancy 5 star hotels, however, you may wish to consider other options. Seminyak of South Bali Located a few miles north from Legian, but still nestled firmly in the south of Bali, Seminyak is a place where you can go to experience the white beaches and crystal clear waters of Indonesia. However, you may have to fend off a strong tourist vibe as the once barren beach land has been discovered by a growing throng of tourist types. It still remains as one of the most beautiful areas in all of Bali, though, so it will be well worth your time if you want to give it a try. Kuta Beach and Legian along West Coast Kuta Beach and Legian along the west coastline of southern Bali is cram packed with lots of fun and exciting things for tourists to do. Packed with a number of shops, restaurants and hotels, the beach is never far away. Great photo opportunities for you to take advantage of, whether you are traveling alone or with an army of companions. Jimbaran Beach Many feel that Jimbaran Beach is the best beach in all of Bali. The waves are just about the right size for wind surfing and swimming and any other kind of fun aquatic activity that you can think of. With a number of fine dining selections and nearly white sand, you will not find one that is more attractive than Jimbaran. Hopefully, this gets you started on your Bali stay. While you're there, though, keep your mind open to other opportunities that come your way.
