Rihanna will be making her motion picture debut in 2012's Battleship movie adaptation. That's right. The classic board game has been given a plot, a big budget, and Rihanna in one of the lead roles, and that's how she will first grace the moviegoing public. However, there are plenty of movie remake roles out there that Rihanna should be looking in to. For the top five, read on: 5. The Bodyguard There has long been talk of either a sequel or a remake to the Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner thriller. Recently, it was decided that studios would be going the remake route. This would be the perfect choice for Rihanna, because it plays in to her dangerous style of music, gives her a chance to play a pop diva (which she is pretty good at), and it would be a great feature with cross-gender appeal that she could play the lead in. The plot, for those living under a rock, centers on a bodyguard and the celebrity he's hired to protect falling in love. Action, romance, and mystery-what could go wrong? 4. Cliffhanger Janine Turner from Northern Exposure originally starred opposite Sylvester Stallone and John Lithgow in Director Renny Harlin's hit death defying action thriller. Rihanna would be a worthy replacement to the original role. She's got the same cute and spunky look, and would be the perfect Yin to, say, The Rock's Yang. Of course, the film would need a solid action director, and those guys may be too busy making superhero flicks right now! 3. Lady Vengeance Who honestly doesn't want to see Rihanna kick butt in a big way? Lady Vengeance would be her chance, and her fans' chances, to shine. The Chan-wook Park original is currently set for a remake, and the role would be perfect for Rihanna. After the Chris Brown debacle, it would be nice to see her turning the tables on abusive men and giving them a dose of the swift and certain violence they really deserve! 2. Tomb Raider The role that made Angelina Jolie an action star is back in the spotlight as the studios have planned a reboot with a new actress, as yet unnamed, in the lead role. While Megan Fox has been considered a frontrunner for the part, her stock has certainly fallen, while Rihanna's is picking up steam. She's got the beauty and the body. Why not a Rihanna-as-Lara feature? 1. Masters of the Universe Something about Rihanna as bad girl just really whets the appetite to see her in this planned reboot of the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe product line. Perhapse Rihanna as Evil Lynn? It would be very hard to pull for He-Man under those circumstances.
